What is a liquidation manifest?

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Pallet, 18 to 20 phones, $2,000 per pallet

A liquidation manifest is a line-by-line list of what is on a pallet or truckload, item by item, that comes with the lot. A lot without one is unmanifested: you know the category, the condition grade and a rough count, but not each item. First-time buyers often expect every pallet to have a manifest. On September 29, 2026, only 2 of the 83 lots in our shop did.

Kitchen appliance pallet$55040 to 60 unitsRaw, tested, Grade A$9.17 to $13.75

The phones sit in our electronics pallets and the kitchen lot in our appliance pallets. On the kitchen pallet, the manifest also lists each unit’s condition, which is how a mixed-condition lot can still be manifested.

What “unmanifested” means on a listing

The other 81 lots are unmanifested, and each listing says so in its details table: “Unmanifested, no item-by-item list”. You still get the category, the condition mix (our grades are explained in what shelf pulls are) and a count, but the count is a range or an estimate, such as “about 80 units” on our AirPods pallet or “250 or more pieces” on the Hot Wheels pallet. Unmanifested lots cost less, and that is the trade: a lower price for not knowing each item until the pallet is unwrapped.

Is a manifest exact?

No. A manifest is the source’s list, and it can be off by up to 5 percent on count, value and condition. That tolerance is written into our electronics listings, and it is why a manifest reduces risk rather than removing it. Count the lot against the list when it arrives.

How damage is counted with and without a manifest

If 30 percent or more of a pallet arrives damaged, we refund the damaged share, and the manifest changes what we count against. On manifested pallets, damage is counted against the manifest. On unmanifested pallets, it’s counted against the unwrapped count, so photograph the pallet before you unwrap it and again as you count. Report damage within 48 hours with photos and the delivery receipt. The full terms are in our refund and returns policy.

Who should pay for a manifest

  • Buy manifested if you resell item by item and need to list stock before it arrives, or if one high-value item type makes up the lot, such as phones.
  • Buy unmanifested if you sort, price and sell on arrival, as bin stores and flea market sellers do, and the lower price matters more than knowing each item.
  • Skip unmanifested if you need to know every item before you pay. None of our unmanifested lots can tell you that, and a lower price doesn’t change it.

Every lot, manifested or not, is on our liquidation pallets page, and the manifest line is in each listing’s details table. For the whole buying process, see where to buy liquidation pallets.
