Buying from us

Do I need a business licence to buy?

No. Anyone 18 or over can buy. If you are buying for resale and want to skip sales tax, create an account and upload a valid reseller certificate or business licence for your state; the exemption is applied once we have checked it.

Do you sell by auction?

Yes. Every lot has a buy-now price you can order at checkout, and we also sell some lots by auction. To bid, call or text (573) 309-3326 or email [email protected] with the lot name and your bid, and we’ll tell you how that auction runs and when it closes.

Is there a minimum order?

One pallet for pallet lots and truckloads. Orders with single items have a $200 minimum, and any mix of single items or pallets counts toward it.

How do I place an order?

Add a pallet or truckload to your cart and enter your shipping address. The freight quote for your address appears before you pay. When your order ships, you get a tracking number.

How do I know Dalton Liquidation is real?

We load out of our warehouse in Dalton, GA, the freight quote is shown before you pay, and you can collect your order from our dock by appointment.

What’s on the pallets

What condition are the products in?

Each listing says which of three conditions it is. Brand new and overstock items were never sold and are in their packaging. Shelf pulls were on a store shelf and came off unsold, so the packaging can be worn or carry clearance stickers. Customer returns were returned by shoppers and range from new in an opened box to used or not working.

Do you take the best items out of a pallet?

No. We don’t open pallets or truckloads to pull out the better items. What comes from the retailer is what goes on your truck.

Can I see what’s on a pallet before I buy?

For manifested lots, yes: they come with a line-by-line list of what is on the pallet. Counts, values and conditions on a manifest can be off by up to 5 percent, which is normal in liquidation. Unmanifested lots come without a list and cost less. Each listing says which it is.

Are you connected to Amazon, Target or Home Depot?

No. We buy liquidation loads that came out of those retailers’ return and overstock streams, and the retailer names on our listings describe where a load came from.

Freight and shipping

Where do you ship?

To all 50 states, by LTL freight for pallets and full-truckload freight for truckloads, from our warehouse in Dalton, GA.

How much does freight cost?

Freight is a flat rate for your state and the delivery service you choose, shown at checkout before you pay. Our prices are FOB Dalton, GA, so freight is added on top of the pallet price.

Freight from Dalton, GA

Liftgate delivery adds $65, residential delivery with a liftgate $160, and a limited-access address such as a storage unit, school or military base $50. Single items ship for $12.99 plus $2 an item. Buyer Arranged Freight / Local Pickup is free.

How long does delivery take?

Standard freight takes 3 to 7 business days. Expedited freight takes 1 to 2 business days and costs more.

Do I need a loading dock or a forklift?

Not if you order a liftgate. Choose liftgate service at checkout and the driver lowers the pallet to the ground with the truck’s hydraulic lift. Without a dock, a forklift or a liftgate, the driver can’t unload a pallet.

What if my pallet arrives damaged?

Check the pallet before you sign for it and write any damage on the driver’s delivery receipt. Once the carrier signs for a shipment at our dock, it belongs to you, so damage in transit is claimed through the carrier, and the note on the receipt is what the claim relies on. If 30 percent or more of the pallet is damaged, email us within 48 hours with photos and we refund the damaged share. On a mixed pallet, each item is judged by its condition on the manifest; on an unmanifested mixed pallet, items that don’t work don’t count as damage.

Pickup

Can I pick up my order or use my own freight company?

Yes. Choose Buyer Arranged Freight / Local Pickup at checkout and we will contact you to book a dock time. Pickups are by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Eastern, and orders need to be collected within 5 business days or they may be charged storage or cancelled. If your own carrier is collecting, send us the bill of lading at least 24 hours before pickup.

Returns and cancellations

Can I return a pallet?

Yes, within 7 days of delivery or pickup, for a 10 percent restocking fee. An unopened, still shrink-wrapped pallet can come back for any reason, with you paying the return freight. If a pallet isn’t what you ordered, you can return it even after opening it: email [email protected] with your order number and photos, and we pay the return freight. If a pallet arrives 30 percent or more damaged, report it within 48 hours with photos and we refund the damaged share, with no fee and nothing to send back. The full terms are on our refund policy page.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, even after it is placed and paid. Email [email protected] with your order number and we cancel it and refund your payment. We may also cancel an order ourselves, for example if the stock turns out to be different from the listing, and in that case you get a full refund.
