Price per tool, and the freight on top
The brand tool pallets run $700 to $1,250, which works out at about $14 to $18 a tool on the DeWALT, Milwaukee and Ryobi lots; the 300-piece mixed power tool pallet is $2.50 a piece. Generators and pallet jacks are sold by the pallet at $2,000 and $4,000, and the Home Depot tool and hardware truckload is $15,950 for 20 to 24 pallets. Prices are FOB Dalton, GA. Freight is quoted at checkout for your state; a liftgate adds $65 and residential delivery with a liftgate $160.
Returns, overstock and used equipment
Most tool lots mix customer returns and overstock, and the RYOBI mixed pallet also has used equipment in it. Overstock is new and unsold. Customer returns came back to the store and can be new in an opened box, used, or not working. Each listing says whether it comes with a manifest, and where a lot is manifested the count can be off by up to 5 percent.
Batteries, chargers and duds
Batteries and chargers are the parts that go missing. They are listed in the Milwaukee, Ryobi and 300-piece power tool lots, but customer-return tools can come back without them, and some won’t run. If you need every tool working out of the box with a battery, a tool pallet is the wrong buy; single tools are sold one at a time.
DeWALT, Milwaukee and Ryobi are the brands in stock now, and the truckload comes from Home Depot tool and hardware returns. Those names describe where the stock came from, not a partnership.

Hardware stores and contractors take the single-brand DeWALT and Milwaukee pallets. Online sellers and flea-market vendors take the Ryobi and mixed power tool lots, and repair shops and exporters take the Home Depot truckload.

Do tool pallets come with batteries?
Some do. The Milwaukee, Ryobi and 300-piece power tool listings include batteries and chargers, but customer-return tools can arrive without them, so count what is listed rather than expecting one per tool.
What condition are tool pallets in?
Mostly customer returns and overstock, and the RYOBI mixed pallet also has used equipment. Returns can be new in an opened box, used, or not working, and everything is sold as-is. Any lot can also be returned within 7 days of delivery or pickup for a 10 percent restocking fee: unopened for any reason, with you paying the return freight, or opened if it isn't what you ordered, with us paying the return freight.
