Line lasers are only as useful as what they sit on, and the Bosch BT150 tripod gives a line laser, point laser or laser distance measure a steady base that extends from 22 in. to 61 in. The mounting thread is 1/4-20 on a detachable base, the base adjusts, and the whole tripod weighs about 2 lb, so it rides easily in a tool bag. Tile setters, drywall hangers and anyone hanging cabinets would use it.

This one came in on a retailer return or overstock load. That can mean new, open-box or a customer return in a worn box, and it’s sold as-is. Check that the leg locks hold and that the detachable base came with it, since that’s the small part that goes astray. [email protected] will check it before you buy.
