$650 buys about 400 reams of letter-size copy paper here, packed as 40 cases of 10 and still factory-sealed. It’s 20 lb and 24 lb, 92 to 96 bright, brand new from overstock and shelf pulls, from brands like Hammermill, HP and Xerox. No manifest, and it comes to about $1.63 a ream before freight.

By the case it’s $16.25 for each case of 10, before freight. It’s the most uniform lot in our general merchandise: one product, one sheet size, two weights.

Weights, brightness and makers

It’s multipurpose copy and printer paper in 20 lb and 24 lb weights, 92 to 96 bright white, letter size (8.5 x 11 inches); the listing names Hammermill, HP, Xerox, Boise, Georgia-Pacific and Staples as the brands it draws from. The split between brands, and between 20 lb and 24 lb, isn’t given. It’s sold unmanifested; there is no item-by-item list, and unmanifested lots cost less. Who you’re buying from

We ship FOB Dalton, GA, with the freight charge shown at checkout before you pay, and we load pickups by appointment. None of the paper makers is affiliated with us. “We don’t open pallets or truckloads to pull out the better items. What comes from the retailer is what goes on your truck.”

No dock, forklift or liftgate at your end means the driver can’t unload, so settle that before you order. Freight is a flat per-pallet rate by state, shown at checkout: standard (3 to 7 business days) from $25 in the Southeast to $85 on the West Coast, express (1 to 2) from $50 to $110. Liftgate is $65 extra, residential with a liftgate $160, limited access $50. This lot is about 48 x 40 x 42 in and roughly 2,050 lbs on the pallet; confirm with [email protected] before you book your own carrier. Your own carrier sends its bill of lading at least 24 hours before pickup. Pickups are by appointment, weekdays 8 am to 5 pm Eastern, within 5 business days.

New stock, some of it off a shelf

It’s brand new inventory from corporate overstock, retail shelf pulls and commercial surplus. Brand new and overstock: never sold, still in its packaging. Shelf pulls: sat on a store shelf and came off unsold; packaging can be worn or carry clearance stickers. Paper takes damage from damp and forklift tines, so check the cases and any dates on the cartons when it arrives. It suits an office supplier, a school supplier or a reseller who sells paper by the case. If you need one brand and one weight throughout, skip it.

Everything sells as-is, save one case: when 30 percent or more of a pallet arrives broken, crushed, cracked, wet or unusable, we refund the damaged share, though freight stays paid; on new, overstock and shelf-pull stock, items that don’t work count as damaged. Any lot can also be returned within 7 days of delivery or pickup for a 10 percent restocking fee: unopened for any reason, with you paying the return freight, or opened if it isn’t what you ordered, with us paying the return freight.

In our general merchandise pallets, it’s $150 under the $800 toilet paper pallet, which gives no count at all.
