This is liquidation stock from retailer return and overstock loads. It can be new, open-box or a customer return, the box can be beaten up, and it’s sold as-is. Ceiling fans that have been opened are often short a blade, a mounting part or the remote, so count the blades and make sure the remote is there before you get on the ladder.
